Steve
Durkac is an ordained minister who has been
leading prayer ministry seminars and conference
keynotes on the topic of prayer since 1990.
He has presented his message of
prayer across denominational lines through
prayer seminars, sermons, school chapels, and
radio broadcasts.
Steve has served as a church
planter in South Carolina, a senior pastor in
Alabama, a denominationally appointed Prayer
Ministries Coordinator for the Gulf Sttes
Conference of SDA, and as the Biblical Prayer
Ministries Director for the Mobile Baptist
Association.
Most recently, he has served on
staff of the pastoral care department of
Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama and he
and his family are happy members of the dynamic
Christ United Methodist
Church.
Steve holds ministry and
seminary degree from Southern Adventist
University, clinical pastoral education
with University Hospital and Baptist Hospital,
and the recipient of awards for
homilitics excellence and state level
Toastmaster International humorous speaking
competition. It has been said that
Steve holds the unique distinction of
being the only ordained pastor to have worked
the comedy stage, intentially!
In addition to his prayer
ministry, Steve is leads a therapeutic laughter
business, Merry Medicine Productions.
Steve is the author of
"Our Greatest Need" the 2008
release and highly appraised work on how to
enjoy effectual prayer.
He has previously authored,
